Kati Basti is a therapeutic bodywork during which herbal oil is poured on the lumbar region to alleviate chronic low back pain, spasms, tightness, stiffness, inflammation, soreness of muscles, degenerative problems, and nerve pains. The back is warmed with hot aroma therapy oils and towels, and back is bathed in warm, herbal oil is poured into a dough dam built on your lower back. The warm herbal oil slowly absorb into the lower back area. The dough dam is removed and you finish with a full back massage with warm therapeutic herbal oil. A series of these therapies are amazingly beneficial in relaxing the entire body*.
