Anise is an annual herb belongs to celery family. Its fruit, known as anise. The seeds are grey-brownish color, oval shape and 3.2 to 4.8 mm in length. It has a distinct odor and pleasant taste. Generally the plant grows up to 75 centimeters height. It grows easily in warm and sunshine climatic conditions.
Anise is native of the Middle East region. It is commonly cultivated by the Egyptians, used frequently in culinary spice.
