The Global Ayurveda Academy, USA offers a comprehensive 8,000-hour Master Ayurvedic Specialist (MAS) Certification Program delivered through a hybrid learning model that combines online academic instruction, in-person practical training, supervised classroom experiences, case-based learning, research, dissertation work, and guided self-study.
This advanced professional certification program is approved by the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA) and accredited by the American Ayurvedic Certification and Credentialing Accreditation Council (AACCAC), USA.
Program Prerequisite
Applicants must have successfully completed an Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner (AAP) 4,000-Hour Certification Program or possess an equivalent qualification approved by the Global Ayurveda Academy.
The MAS program consists of an additional 4,000 hours of advanced master’s-level education. Together with the prerequisite 4,000-hour Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner (AAP) certification, graduates complete a total of 8,000 hours of professional Ayurvedic education.

Upon successful completion of the Master Ayurvedic Specialist (MAS) Certification Program, graduates will be able to:

Scope of Practice
A Master Ayurvedic Specialist (MAS) is an advanced Ayurvedic professional who has completed approximately nine years (8,000 hours) of structured professional education in Ayurveda.
Graduates are qualified to:
- Provide comprehensive Ayurvedic wellness consultations and education.
- Assess constitutional balance (Prakriti), imbalances (Vikriti), and Ayurvedic pathophysiology.
- Develop individualized Ayurvedic lifestyle, dietary, herbal, and Panchakarma-based wellness recommendations within their professional scope.
- Educate clients regarding traditional Ayurvedic principles for health promotion and disease prevention.
- Interpret classical Ayurvedic concepts and apply them using evidence-informed clinical reasoning.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
- Understand the legal and professional regulations governing Ayurvedic practice in the United States, Canada, Europe, and other jurisdictions.
- Practice within ethical and professional standards established by recognized Ayurvedic organizations.
Important: Graduates of this program do not diagnose, prescribe, or practice conventional medicine unless they hold separate governmental licensure that authorizes those activities. Their professional services are provided within the legally recognized scope of Ayurvedic education and wellness practice applicable to their jurisdiction.
Graduation Requirements
To be awarded the Master Ayurvedic Specialist (MAS) Certification, students must successfully fulfill all of the following graduation requirements:
- Complete the Required Program Hours
- Successfully complete all 8000 hours of the Master Ayurvedic Specialist (MAS) Certification Program, including all classroom instruction, online learning, supervised practical training, independent study, and assigned coursework.
- Meet Academic Standards
- Achieve a passing grade in all required courses, assignments, quizzes, examinations, and competency assessments as established by the program.
- Successfully Complete Clinical Practicum
- Complete all required supervised clinical practicum hours and demonstrate competency in Ayurvedic health counseling, client assessment, wellness planning, lifestyle counseling, and professional communication.
- Complete Required Case Studies and Case Presentations
- Submit all required clinical case studies and case reports.
- Successfully present assigned client cases demonstrating appropriate application of Ayurvedic principles, assessment methods, and individualized wellness recommendations.
- Pass the Comprehensive Final Examination
- Successfully pass the written and/or practical comprehensive final examination demonstrating proficiency in Ayurvedic theory and clinical application.
- Demonstrate Professional Competence
- Exhibit satisfactory professional behavior, ethical conduct, communication skills, and clinical judgment throughout the program.
- Adhere to the Code of Ethics
- Maintain compliance with the program’s Code of Ethics, Standards of Professional Conduct, attendance policies, and all institutional regulations.
- Complete Financial and Administrative Requirements
- Fulfill all tuition and fee obligations and submit all required program documentation prior to graduation.
Students who successfully complete all graduation requirements will be awarded the Master Ayurvedic Specialist (MAS) Certificate of Completion, signifying successful completion of the 8000-hour professional training program. Graduates are eligible to pursue professional recognition and credentialing in accordance with the eligibility requirements established by the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA) and other applicable certifying organizations.
Certification Awarded
Upon successful completion of all program requirements, graduates will be awarded the Master Ayurvedic Specialist (MAS) Certificate by the Global Ayurveda Academy, USA, recognizing completion of 8,000 hours of advanced level master professional education in Ayurvedic wellness, classical clinical principles, supervised practicum, and case-based learning.
This certification prepares graduates for professional Ayurvedic wellness practice within the legal scope permitted in the jurisdiction in which they practice. It does not confer licensure to practice medicine or any other regulated healthcare profession where such licensure is required.
