Dr. Rahul Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Panchakarma at Parul Institute of Ayurveda, Vadodara, Gujarat. I hold BAMS ,M.D. (Panchakarma) and M.B.A Healthcare Management qualifications and have over 3 years of academic and clinical experience. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Panchakarma . My academic interests include Panchakarma therapeutics, Ayurvedic clinical research and integrative healthcare. I am actively involved in teaching, research, and the development of evidence-based approaches to promote and advance the scientific application of Ayurveda
Nootropics and Adaptogens: Herbal Solutions for Neuroprotection, Memory Enhancement, and Stress Management
This presentation explores the potential role of Ayurvedic herbs and other botanical compounds in supporting cognitive function, protecting neuronal health, and promoting resilience to stress. It examines traditional Ayurvedic perspectives alongside modern pharmacological research on selected nootropic and adaptogenic herbs, including their proposed mechanisms of action, evidence for memory and attention support, and relevance to healthy aging.
The session also addresses safety, herb–drug interactions, appropriate selection based on individual constitution and needs, and the importance of integrating traditional knowledge with contemporary scientific evidence.
